Web Procurement - Un-jargoned
In today's marketplace very few individuals qualify as web consultants. Therefore, a considerable amount of resources can be tested during discovery if the right analyst isn't selected. One of the main barriers to overcome is language and by this I mean there tends to be a vocabulary gap between consultant and management. I'm sure most of you would agree if you had one wish in a web meeting, it would be to have a pocket translator to decipher the garble between geek and English. Unfortunately, too much head bobbing and not enough understanding is exchanged and before you know it, weeks have turned into months with no measurable progress.
As with most kids, every time I'd challenge
my Dad's advise, he would say, "I can't place my head on your shoulders son". He would add, " experience is the teacher". That usually meant, ignore the bull and get the horns. So you learn to either move faster or learn not to do it again.
When it comes to the web it's not as obvious. What most people only see is the presentation layer or the design and not the source code or clue that binds a website. What lies beneath the surface matters greatly.
Finding distressed areas in websites and supplying correct resources and direction has become second nature to WEBPRO International (www.webpro.com). The Sharman Group has recognized our unique footprint and invited us to bring our blended value to your organization. WEBPRO can quickly identify and correct critical paths preserving the customer experience.

Management should be focused on sourcing the most qualified talent to help access capital markets while reducing capital cost. This doesn't mean relying on in-house design groups whose recent mode of transportation involved a skateboard.
On the other hand, we've seen our fair share of artful dodgers pick the pockets of unsuspecting
companies. If they're not using the operative language in the color grid above, then they're wasting your time.
